CIF Full Form In Police

CIF Full Form in Police is counter insurgency force. “Counter Insurgency Force” (CIF) is an acronym commonly used by police departments. The headquarters of this division of the police force are located in the Garia neighborhood of Kolkata in West Bengal.

West Bengal police established this division in 2010 to combat what they see as terroristic Maoist and marshal operations among the state’s population.

When officers from this division captured Mallojula Koteswara Rao, also known as Kishenji, within 30 minutes of a gunfight in 2011, they were given particular honors.

Before being accepted into the CIF, at least one thousand members of the state the military had commando training. Salua in West Bengal’s Midnapore district is home to the training center, while Salboni provides further field training. The action has relocated to Durgapur.

Trainees are selected from applications through standard hiring processes. Assistant Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel of National Police Academy, Ajoy Nanda, has assumed the role of DIG (Training and Operations), reporting to IGP (Armed Police) Vivek Sahay. Anil Kumar, an IPS is participating as the Special IGP for Operations in this venture.
