Humans use a perfect medium for communication with each other that is known as a language. There may be thousands of different languages all around the world that people use for communication. If we talk about India, it is known for its diverse culture and languages that people use in different regions. In India, there are 23 major languages and according to Central Government, Hindi and English are official languages that are used in most of the regions of the country.

Hindi is preferred language of most of the north India and more than 53.6% use Hindi as primary or secondary language as per Census of 2001. 10. Malayalam

In India, more than 2.97 % people news Malayalam as their first language. It is official language of Kerala that is spoken by more than 34 million people in India. Odia is spoken by more than 3.20 % people in India. Odia is considered as classical Indo Aryan language that is mostly used in Eastern part of India. More than 40 million people speak Odia all over the world. It is main language of Odisha state in the country. In Odisha, more than 75% of population speak Odia language and it is also referred in various parts of West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Andhra Pradesh. It is also considered as second official language of the Indian state of Jharkhand. In Chhattisgarh, more than 1 million people can speak this language. Kannada is a Dravidian language that is used by Kannada people in India. It is the main language of Karnataka state and it is also used in other states including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Goa. In India, there are about 43.7 million speakers (3.73 %) of Kannada language. It is also considered as second hand third language of more than 12.9 million people who live in Karnataka. In the country, more than 4.34% of population speak Urdu as the primary language. This language was originated from Indo Aryan Central civilization. It is considered as the languages having official status in the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand, Bihar and West Bengal in the country. This language is also official language of other countries like Pakistan and Regional language in Nepal. In the spoken manner, Urdu is quite similar to Hindi language. According to the reports, Urdu is considered as 21st most spoken language in the world having 66 million speakers. Tamil came from Dravidian Civilization and it is main language spoken by the Tamil people in India as well as Sri Lanka. Tamil is considered as official language of the countries including Sri Lanka and Singapore. It is also official language of Indian state of Tamil Nadu and union territory Puducherry. Tamil is also spoken by people in various other South Indian states including Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. In India, more than 5.89 % means over 69 million people speak Tamil as the primary language and it is one of the top five languages in the country. Telugu is spoken by more than 81 million people in the country that is more than 6.93 % of total population of India. 3. Marathi

Marathi is Indo Aryan language that is spoken by more than 83 million people in the country. Marathi is considered as the official language of Maharashtra state and it is the official language in the Indian state of Goa. In the country, more than 7.09 % of the population speak Marathi as their primary language. Marathi is one of the 22 major languages in the country and it is ranked at the 19th position in most spoken languages in the world. In India, it is at third position after Hindi and Bengali. Marathi is also spoken by the people in other states including Gujarat, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. There are more than 68.93 % of native speakers of Marathi language in Maharashtra.

Bengali is also official language of Bangladesh where more than 98% people can fluently speak Bengali. In India, Bengali is official language of West Bengal, Tripura and some regions of Assam. This language is also used in other states including Jharkhand, Bihar, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. As per the census of 2011, there are more than 97 million people in India who can speak Bengali as primary language. It is about 8.03 % of total population in the country. There are about 250 to 300 million people around the world who can speak Bengali. Bengali is considered as 7th most spoken language in the world as per the number of native speakers of the language.

In India, more than 125 million people can speak English as the secondary language but it is the first language of only 0.019 % people. This language is second official language of the country that is used for the trading and business purpose.
