Steps to Follow to Get IRCTC Login ID and User Password
=> You first need to visit the IRCTC website to start the process. The URL of the website is irctc.co.in and this will take you to the Next Generation Portal of IRCTC.
On this website, you will have to find the register button. The button is located on top of the page and it is just below the address bar. You can refer to the screenshot to find the registration page. The button is highlighted in the red box.
You will now be redirected to the registration page which basically has a form that needs to be filled by you.The screenshot of the blank form is posted below. Enter a user name that you wish to create and also enter a password. Along with this, enter your security question and preferred language in the first section.
Now move to the next section and enter your personal details here. You need to enter your name, gender, date of birth, occupation, marital status, country, email ID and mobile number in this section.
After entering all the personal details, enter your residential address along with the captcha code and click on the register You should also agree to the terms and conditions before you can actually submit the form.
The main part of creating the account is now over. Now, the only thing that you need to do is that you need to login to the IRCTC page and validate your mobile number and email address. To do this, go to the home page and click on Login Button. The button is just next to the register button.
A login window will appear and you need to enter your Login ID and Password that you created in the first step. Enter the details along with captcha code and sign in to the page.
On the next page, you will be asked to validate your Mobile number and email address with OTP. You will have to verify both these contact points. The screenshot for the same is below
Click on Verify Email ID with OTP and Verify Mobile with OTP to trigger the OTP request and enter your OTP to validate the details. The account will be activated post validation
