What is the UTS Mobile Ticketing?

 

The UTS Mobile Ticketing is a scheme of the Indian government wherein the individuals who wish to travel by the Indian railway can book the unreserved ticket online. This can be achieved with the help of an application called the UTS app. The scheme shall be implemented this year beginning the 1st of November. The application is currently made available for those users whose smartphone support the windows as well as the Android applications.

How to Use the UTS App?

  • You can only book four tickets at one single time in the app
  • In order to use the UTS app, you have to be at a distance of 25 to 30 meters away from the relevant railway station
  • If you have registered yourself as a user on this application, you will be able to purchase not just the unreserved tickets but you shall also be able to buy the platform tickets and the monthly passes with the help of the UTS railway application.

once you go into this website, you will be asked to login or sign up, if you have not yet registered yourself on the website. If you are an existing user, you also need to enter your password and enter the Captcha code which will be displayed on the screen. If you are not an existing user, you will have to first register yourself and post that you can login. After this, the mobile application can also be downloaded and the same can be used to use the facilities of the UTS mobile application tracking system.

In case any problem is faced in using the mobile ticketing service, you can easily call the customer care of the app. The number is 138 for Mumbai, Kolkata, and Secunderabad. The numbers for other cities along with the email Ids are also displayed on its website.

Where is the UTS Application Currently Used?

The UTS application is currently being used in Mumbai. Besides, people in New Delhi, Chennai have also started using the application. This is including 15 of the zones of the Indian Railways where the scheme has already been implemented.
