The Haryana state is officially established on November 1, 1966. It was formerly a part of the Indian state of Punjab before becoming a separate entity. Its land area accounts for 1.3% of the overall land area of the country. India’s northwestern region is bounded on the north by the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand, on the northeast by the states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, on the east by the states of Delhi, and on the northwest by the states of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The state of Punjab shares its capital city, Chandigarh, with the state of Haryana. 9 Haryana is divided into 22 districts, with the most important being Gurgaon, Faridabad, Kamal, Panipat, and Kurukshetra. 10 The state also includes nine districts that are part of the Delhi NCR, which is one of India’s fastest-growing economic regions and is home to the nation’s capital.
